WOW! 2002 flew by. We hope that you had a memorable year. At Sound Builders, it was a year full of new, challenging and exciting projects that enabled us to meet some wonderful people. It was also a year when we were welcomed back into the homes of many clients to further their dreams for their home. Thank you for your continuing support.
A special thanks to everyone who was involved in our Remodeled Homes Tour project. It was a huge success with close to 400 people touring the home. In addition to our own staff, Gary Brown and Ryan Lindley from Newscastle Flooring and Don LaCourse from International Kitchens devoted their time to guide visitors and answer questions. A very special Thank You to the Zubair family for graciously allowing us to showcase their beautiful home.
"We had done a great job on her kitchen and made her vision a reality, but more importantly we had created a pleasurable experience for her that she would never forget. This feeling we have coined 'The Remodeling Experience'."
This is an excerpt from 'Our Company Story.' 'The Remodeling Experience' is the cornerstone of Sound Builders' philosophy. We strive to provide that special 'something' before a project is started, as it is underway and when it is completed. Part of that 'something' is the peace of mind that Sound Builders will continually respect our client's ideas, feelings, family and home during all stages of a remodeling project.
We know there is much uncertainty in planning a remodel. We seek to redefine your expectations for what a remodeling experience is like. Our initial plans are intended to specifically relay what we believe our client wants to have us accomplish. This way we can review and make certain most concerns are addressed right away.
During a remodel, we keep our client apprised of what is happening. Each day we cover belongings to keep the inevitable dust off of them, cart away building debris and keep your home feeling like a home and not a construction site.
After a remodel is completed, a comprehensive walk-thru is performed to ensure our client is pleased with the finished project.
With over 27 years of being in business you can be assured that we will be here for you.
This is our philosophy and passion as it is summed up in 'The Remodeling Experience'.
We still have a couple of months left before a beautiful Pacific Northwest Spring bursts forth. Getting through winter unscathed is a high priority. Here are some suggestions to help stay on top of things.
- Walk around the house and check for peeling paint, broken or clogged gutters, or roofing lying on the ground.
- Inspect the foundation, attic, basement and crawlspace for moisture and leaks. If there is evidence of pests there is a good chance moisture has gotten in.
- This is also a great time to test the automatic garage door, be sure that it is operating smoothly and all the safety features are working properly.

- Shut off the water at hose bibs. Drain and store all hoses to prevent freezing.
- Check all doors and windows for loose or cracked glass, broken hardware or any evidence air is entering the house through gaps.
Call Sound Builders if you have any questions or need assistance with any of these projects. Have a fun and safe 2003!
